I have 2 shallow mount 10's in a big ported box?

is that good. they hit pretty hard but not hard enough really they are the sony xplod 1200 Max watt shallow mount 10's and they are in a dual 10 ported box. i know they arent made for that but its the only box i have, i have a kenwood kac 7205. but the question is.. how do i get the best sound quality out of what i have.
