Getting into college even with a bad grade?

Okay, well I messed up this year in Math and got a D+. It was my junior year and so I am really worried that colleges will make me take some classes at a community college or something. I know that im not going to get into an amazing college but I do want to attend a good one. My GPA has always been between a 3.5 and 4.0. I think I had something lower than a 3.5 once but it was still higher than a 3.0. I've taken Honors and I am currently in the IB program. But its only one class that I failed. I am currently retaking the semester( during the summer). Any thoughts/advice..something? I was overconfident and thought I would be able to bring that grade up at the end but...
